Plumber Marthas Vinyard – 24-7 emergency plumbing – drain cleaning – pipe breaks – water restoration.

Call anytime 888-978-2247

When you need a plumber, choosing the right one will let you be sure that you’ll be satisfied with their work. You can improve your chances of finding a plumber that’s ready and able to do the job right by taking a few simple steps, which we’ll go over here.

There’s almost nothing more aggravating than calling a plumber, and only getting a recording, so make sure that the plumber you choose will have a live person to answer their phones. You need to be able to get in contact with your plumber in case of an emergency, so be sure that they are easily reached. Your plumber should be able to tell you about when they’ll arrive- which makes planning much easier.

Your plumber should arrive ready to work, in uniform, with proper ID. Also, most reputable plumbers will require that their employees undergo drug and alcohol testing, as well as a full background check. Being selective when choosing a plumber will ensure that your job gets done right the first time.

You may already know this beach on the western tip of Martha’s Vineyard as Gay Head, a name first coined by British sailors in the 17th century. Alternatively, you may know it as Moshup Beach. Recently, however, its long-standing Native American name has become the official moniker: Aquinnah Beach.

Whatever you call it, this is one splendid stretch of coastline — and that’s official. Aquinnah Beach was recently picked as one of the top walking beaches in the United States by beach expert Dr. Stephen Leatherman at Florida International University (there’s a job to kill for). You’ll see why, once you’re there, whether you count yourself an expert or not. Aquinnah offers hard-packed sand and a gentle slope down to the water, making it perfect for those romantic walks through toe-depth surf.

There are a numerous private beaches in the area, so be careful you don’t wander on to one by accident and get caught for trespassing. The public beach stretches from Philbin Beach up to Aquinnah Cliffs, a tourist attraction in its own right. Towering 150 feet over the sands, the cliffs are formed of a red, striated clay which early European settlers used to make bricks. Now an endangered national landmark, however, the Aquinnah Cliffs are strictly off-limits to everyone except members of the local Wampanoag tribe, who use the clay to make various crafts.

Amenities: Public restrooms are available near the parking lot.

Added Attractions: Atop the cliffs at Aquinnah is the Gay Head Lighthouse, built in 1844 to replace an older wooden structure. It keeps watch over the treacherous Devil’s Bridge shoals, where colliding tidal currents have caught and wrecked many a ship.

Admission and Parking: There’s a $15 parking fee during the summer months; the off-season is free.

Where to Eat: Take a two mile drive to The Bite — most islanders agree that for fried clams, this is the only place to go.

Lifeguard on Duty: No lifeguards – swim at your own risk.

Fido-Friendly?: Not pets are allowed on the beach.

Insider Info: Be warned! Some private beaches in the area are notoriously lax about enforcing the island’s ”no nude bathing” policy. Mind that your eyes don’t wander where they shouldn’t.

From the ideal location – which included perfect viewing of July 4 fireworks – to the exceptional ser vice, the Harborview is just a great place to stay. My husband and I visited MV a few years back and stayed at a B&B near town. It was nice, but paled in comparison to our stays on the Cape and Nantucket and so we hadn’t gone back to the Vineyard again. But after our stay at Harborview, we can’t wait to go back! Great for couples, families or friends. When the fitness center and spa are done, it will be a truly full-service resort. Look forward to a return trip soon!

My wife and I stayed in a Cottage King room and it was great! The hotel grounds are well maintained, there was plenty of parking which can be rare at MV; a nice pool but best of all, it’s at a perfect location. The hotel in right on the bend of Oak Bluffs and next to a large beach area with the lighthouse. The free Wi-fi was great but the signal wasn’t too string in the Cottage room. There’s an in-room mini fridge and great pod-style coffee. If you want to save yourself $4 for a cup of coffee in the restaurant, grab a cup in the room or in the lobby.Everything seems to be recently remodeled but still holds its old charm. That said, my only complaint would be that the door to the room was old and not so sound proof.

we stayed in the main room and were very excited upon arrival having heard all the great things about this hotel. let’s just say that my dog would have been claustrophobic in this room. It was big enough for 1 king bed, a small, dresser, and thats it. you could not even walk around in the room AT ALL. for the ridiculous rates we payed, we expected something MUCH bigger. we had stayed at the holiday inn express the night before we took the ferry over to the vineyard and let me just tell you that THAT room , in which we payed 85 dollars was nicer, more comfortable, and about 100x more spacious than the room at the harborview. It was such a let down and a horrible way to spend my one week off during the summer

My husband took me to the Harbor view for a long weekend for my 30th birthday. The hotel itself was nice (apparently just redone). The room was nice and the staff was very accommodating. The hotel is right across from the beach and in walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in Edgartown. The hotel has a pool but that is it as far as amenities go. I would love to go again but I would probably try to rent a house instead. Bring bikes (or you can rent them) Lots of bike trails and you can ride your bike to beach/restaurants/shops.Restaurants to Try: Home Port-In Mirmesha. A bit of a drive but the lobster was great and very reasonable-bring your own wine -this town is currently a dry town. (The other dry town is Vineyard Haven). The Pub (whole in the wall)-in Edgartown- they just have counter seats but all the counter seats stay full. Best breakfast we had all week and very affordable.Expresso Love-In Edgartown-Good Sandwiches-a bit priceyAmong the Flowers-Great Coffee-a bit pricey
Restaurants to Avoid: The Whart-In Edgartown-Food was good but way too expensive-go to Home Port instead! Main street Dinner-In Edgartown-food was terrible and way to expensive. Edgartown Deli-Food was terrible but affordable.
